Marketing Coordinator

We are looking for someone with a passion for marketing to support our marketing, sales and development activities at an exciting period of change. Artis has recently become a charity to enable us to give as many people as possible the opportunity to develop and flourish through the performing arts.

We are exploring new and enterprising ways to increase sustainability and in doing so, play a crucial role in providing arts-rich learning opportunities for more children and young people, and promoting mental health and wellbeing through the arts.

The position requires someone who is proactive, personable and committed to excellence in all work they undertake, with at least one year’s marketing experience in the arts or education sector. This is a 12 month fixed term two day a week contract to support maternity cover, with the potential to extend hours.

Role Purpose

To coordinate all marketing activity for Artis Foundation and assist in the development and promotion of the charity, using a relevant mix of marketing methods and delivering agreed targets and KPIs.

Key Accountabilities

  • To work as a member of the team to achieve the marketing, school renewal and development strategies in collaboration with the Development and Partnerships Coordinator and Care Team.
  • To raise awareness of Artis Foundation
  • To generate and distribute prospect school leads for new business and assist with recruiting schools for funded projects

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the Artis website, ensuring it is user-friendly with increasing traffic.
  • Create and distribute regular e-newsletters to Artis Specialists (professional performing artists), schools and other arts education organisations.
  • Manage Artis’ social media activities, including Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Generate leads for sales, fundraising and development work.
  • Prepare, edit & distribute blogs and use as part of strategy to raise the profile of Artis.
  • Ensure regular communication with the Artis Management Team, Artis Specialists, schools and other partners/trustees to keep them up to date with Artis Foundation news.
  • Create and distribute Artis marketing literature. This includes copywriting and liaising with designers, printers, photographers and filmmakers.
